How it works

Net profit in 3 steps

Every marketplace has a different commission structure. The same product may leave you ₺24 on Trendyol but only ₺19 on Hepsiburada. Sakans lets you manage that difference from a single panel.

1

Commission is deducted

The marketplace deducts commission at the rate you chose (e.g. Trendyol 15%) from the sale price. Formula: sale × commission%.

2

VAT is separated

The net VAT payable to the government is the difference between sale and purchase VAT. Formula: (sale − cost − shipping) × VAT% / (100+VAT%).

3

Net profit appears

After commission, product cost, shipping (if seller pays), extra costs and net VAT are deducted from sales revenue, what's left is the amount in your pocket per sale.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are commission rates fixed?

No. They vary between 4% and 22% per marketplace, depending on the product category. The buttons above show category averages — check your actual rate from your marketplace dashboard.

Should I enter prices VAT-inclusive or exclusive?

Enter all prices VAT-inclusive. The calculator separates VAT from sale and cost, then computes the net VAT payable to the government. This is the standard approach for Turkish e-commerce accounting.

Where in the sale price is the commission applied?

Marketplaces usually charge commission on the gross (VAT-inclusive) sale price. Some marketplaces also apply a fixed "service fee" (in ₺) or advertising/CS payment fee. Use the "Extra Costs" field for such line items in this calculator.

What is the difference between ROI and Profit Margin?

Profit Margin = net profit / sale price (how much profit is left from the sale). ROI = net profit / total cost (how much you earned from the money you invested). For stock management, ROI matters; for marketing, margin matters.

I sell on multiple channels and tracking all of them is hard.
